Greeting of the President of Mongolia on the occasion of Nauryz

Residents of Bayan-Ulgii,

Kazakhs residing and working all throughout our beautiful country,
Allow me to extend my heartfelt congratulations for the Nauryz, a celebration embedded with values and traditions of the Kazakh nation, and respected and revered through history. On this celebration of spring, I would like to emphasize the diligence of our Kazakh people which helped them successfully weather the harsh winter. The Kazakh people are known for their love for freedom, meticulousness, and openness.

I am pleased to say that the contributions made by the people of Bayan-Ulgii have always been regarded with the highest esteem by the Government of Mongolia.

Nauryz is the Celebration of Spring of Kazakh people, respected members of nomad civilization, which coincides on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox.

I fondly remember my meeting with the people of Bayan-Ulgii, holding sincere discussions on the development issues of our country, and joining your spring celebration.

Although, in some ways, people of Mongolia represent different ethnicities with their own heritage and culture, we have always been bonded by our common fundamental interests as the citizens of Mongolia, and our respect towards each other’s uniqueness, traditions, and culture.

It also is our due source of pride that Mongolian Kazakhs are considered to be the major carriers of Kazakh language and tradition in the world. I would like to stress that the tradition to celebrate Nauzyz alcohol free is exemplary.

Bayan-Ulgii Aimag in considered to be the leading region of our country with its labor force, and other capacities, which is the most valuable asset today, as we heed to build a humanitarian democratic society. Thus, it is important for everyone to contribute what they can to their respective work, local community, and respectively, to the development of our country.
During my discussions and meetings with the residents of rural areas; issues of civic right, civic participation, and equality were always brought up. Government of Mongolia, as representatives of our people, will put its best efforts to solve these issues.

Fertile land, growing livestock, modern education and know-how, state policy of particular consideration towards our minority, and diligence and liberty of Kazakh people; these all are guarantee of development for Bayan-Ulgii.

Kazakh citizens,

I extend my hearty wishes for the traditional Nauryz Holiday, and good health and prosperity for the Year of Rabbit.

I am confident that the future deed of the Kazakh people, who befriend and symbolize the majestic creature of Eagle, will thrive at all times.
