EU Ambassador Presents His Letter of Credence to President Elbegdorj

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Dr. Markus Ederer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Mongolia presented his letter of credence to Tsakhia Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia.

After the ceremony President Elbegdorj received the ambassador and discussed about bilateral ties and cooperation between Mongolia and the European Union.

The President of Mongolia told EU Ambassador Dr. Ederer that the European Union weighs significant position in the priority of Mongolia’s foreign policy and the third neighbor of Mongolia and stressed the importance of concluding the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement within this year for bilateral cooperation. President Elbegdorj proposed to intensify cooperation on introducing EU standards and in educational sector particularly professional training.

Over 596 enterprises of 25 countries of the EU invested in Mongolia. The major investors of the EU to Mongolia are the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Cyprus, the Czech Republic and Belgium.
